[In his eyes]

What is the creative journey from when you have an idea for a song to how it becomes ultimately published?

It reeeally depends. Sometimes I churn out tunes in 4 - 6 hrs, sometimes they take weeks or even months to finish. Usually i have a melody or a rhythm in my head that i want to translate as well as possible in my DAW. Most of the time it's really NOT what I originally had in mind but that takes the tune in different directions and spawns new ideas. It's really hit or miss whether I finish or scrap an idea. But it's like that for most producers i'd imagine.

In 5 years, how do you see your sound staying the same/changing?

I like all kinds of genres and that reflects on my music too. I create whatever I'm feeling at the moment, while also trying to maintain a somewhat cohesive sound. That probably puts off a lot of listeners since my style varies a lot sometimes. In 5 years I'll probably make whatever I'm into then. I hope i stay fresh haha!

Top 3 artists you look up to?

My top 3 are definitely Skrillex, KOAN Sound and Nujabes. They are (and were) all great producers and forwardthinkers. Skrillex honestly got me into producing seriously. KOAN Sound made me wanna learn how to create complex rhythms and textures and pay attention to the littles things. Nujabes was and is my favorite hiphop artist of all time.

Is there anything you regret about the songs you've created in the past?

Well yes and no. As i've gotten better, the mixing in a lot of my old music sounds a lot worse i think. I don't regret releasing them as that's just the kind of music I made at the time. I like hearing how I've improved as a producer and a songwriter. Sometimes I wish I would've waited a bit more before starting to release, but then again I've already gotten way further in music, than I ever thought i would.
