How did you start getting into photography more seriously?
I became more serious about photography around winter break of the sophomore year because I wanted to take amazing pictures like my friends were doing. Cameras were on sale around Black Friday and I decided to invest in an entry level DSLR and I haven't looked back.
Favorite photography Instagram account?
Favorite photography account has to be @moodygrams. It's a feature account but that's what I like about it; I can see so many people's takes on photography all on one account.
Biggest misconception about photography?
The biggest misconception is when someone sells their raw images short. I don't mean someone not believing in their ability to take great photos but rather choosing to not edit pictures from a session they thought went "bad" after it happened. Editing is key in photography and sometimes the best final edits come from what seem like bad raw images.
What's the hardest thing to shoot?
Personally, it's the hardest for me to shoot at night. This is because I use a beginner camera with the kit lens it came with and therefore it is necessary for me to carry around a tripod to shoot in the dark. This limits me in the types of pictures I can take however. Only way I can get over that is to upgrade to a better camera and I will eventually. But for now, tripod it is.
